Beca (Anna Kendrick) is a girl who prefers listening to the sound coming out of her headphones rather than the words coming out of the mouth of the person in front of her. When she arrives at her new school, she finds herself among the mean girls, the sweet girls, and the weird girls who think they have something in common because they sing beautiful songs together. However, when Beca brings something different to their ordinary arrangements and perfect harmonies, they start to strive to become the best in the relentless acapella world of their school.
